The Full Story
Meet Libbie
Libbie Ray is a tech-humanist entrepreneur, international speaker, and AI strategist who makes complex automation simple, accessible, and profitable for businesses ready to lead — not follow.
As Co-Founder of Connected Event Group and Founder of Connected Apps, she brings 20+ years of technical production expertise — from live broadcasting to hybrid events — to the world of custom business applications and AI automation.
Libbie has spoken on stages across three continents, including the Global Entrepreneurship Congress (200 countries represented), EO Global in Peru (Cusco and Lima), the Australian Event Awards Congress, and PCOA Conference on multiple occasions. She has facilitated a global AI workshop with Chris McKay, founder of Maginative (trusted by Microsoft, Kia, and Fortune 500 leadership teams), interviewed Catch.com.au co-founder Gabby Leibovich on stage, and facilitated a virtual event for the Global Entrepreneurship Network. She has also spoken at Meetings & Events Association Conference, International Women's Day events, and numerous EO Sydney events.
A recognised industry leader, Libbie has served as President of Entrepreneurs' Organisation Sydney and Board Director of the Exhibition & Event Association of Australasia, where she also received the EEAA Unsung Hero Award. She has appeared on Channel 10 News as an industry voice during the COVID-19 crisis and has been featured in The Australian, CIM Business Events, micenet, and Inside Small Business.
Libbie hosts The Conference Collective, the official podcast of the Professional Conference Organisers Association, now in its fifth season.
She advocates for the "Positive AI Movement" — practical, ethical automation that enhances human capability rather than replacing it. She is passionate about helping Australian SMEs harness the $315 billion AI opportunity without enterprise-level budgets or risk.
